BSO Symptoms: The occurence of menopausal symptoms in women who have their ovaries removed in the perimenopausal period is completely variable. Some women immediately notice the lack of Estrogen while others such as yourself never miss a beat. Symptoms of hot flashes, insomnia, or mood swings may develop and then dissipate but hormone replacement is only necessary if your quality of life is severely impacted.
