A member asked:

How can u detect a gallbladder attack, or if ther is sumthing wrong with it? threw an ultrasound how?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shows stones: Gall bladder attacks usually involve some degree of pain in the rt upper abdomen, the rt shoulder, rt armpit, or rt shoulder blade - and often, nausea and vomiting. This may happen after a meal and last for hours. Ultrasounds can demonstrate gallstones which may block the cystic duct, common bile duct, or even the pancreatic duct - leading to pancreatitis. Hida scans evaluate gall bladder emptying.
