Genetic factors: Influence intellect, stature, physical appearance, predisposition to certain diseases, etc., some of which can be modified by lifestyle or environmental factors. For each of these, you received 1/2 your genetic material from your father & 1/2 from your mother. If you're dissatisfied with your appearance, consult both a psychologist & a plastic surgeon for objective assessments & treatment options.

Perspective.: I don't know that you are ugly. Maybe you are focusing on things about your appearance that you aren't happy with rather than focusing on your positive attributes. My 11 year old daughter thinks her nose is too big (it is perfect) and is unhappy with her eyes because they are not green (they are blue). It is her perception. Focus on what you like about yourself.

Why do you ask?: If you have a severe deviation from normal that people tell you about, plastic surgery is an option. Beyond this, people like or dislike your face because of how they feel about you. Today, 90% of good looks is aerobic fitness, entirely under your control. Avoid the temptation that advertisers offer to make you compare yourself with others. Focus on being likable & beauty will come from within.
