Depends: It really depends on which antibiotics you have been taking; some, such as quinolones, can have some psychoactive effects, especially as the patient gets older.

Yes: Although antibiotic induced mania have been reported in the medical literature, however, a causal association has yet to be established. But, it seems to make clinical sense that when patients suffering from bipolar are treated with antibiotics, they and their treating physicians should keep a closer eye on their symptoms.
