Ive had a horrible cough for almost 3 weeks now. it feels like its all in my chest. ive had no fever or any other symptoms. does this sound like an infection? if so what kind? is there a safe antibiotic i can take?

The most likely cause of your cough out of nowhere is viral bronchitis, but there are other possibilities, do you have asthma? Do you smoke? Do you have indigestion? You need to be assessed and investigated with blood tests and a chest Xray to start. Do not take antibiotics without a medical evaluation..
