Yes but : There are a few medications that will help with weight loss such as phentermine, diethylproprion, orlistat, and topiramate as well as some diabetic meds. However there are some serious side effects associated with each and qualification criteria. I use them if diet and exercise fail in people 50+ lbs overweight.

I can’t personally make recommendations for weight loss products but the following are FDA approved: Alli, Xenical (orlistat),Meridia (sibutramine), Adipex-P (phentermine & Sanorex (mazindol). To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 -8 oz glasses of water / day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 of fruit
