A member asked:

I had an mri the other day and on the report it has mucoperiosteal disease can you explain what it is and treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sinus: I assume you had a brain MRI and the report commented on mucoperiosteal disease in the sinuses next to the nose and skull. This means thickening of the soft tissue lining of the sinus and can be seen with sinusitis and allergies. Hope this helps.
