A member asked:

I had an mri which reported new near complete opacification left frontal sinus--could this be from a cancer tumor? if i don't have symptoms, do i need treatment? how would i know if the opacification is from cancer? mri report did not elaborate on it?

Sinus issues: The opacification likely represents chronic localized fluid or pus, and would be very unusual to possess a cancer tumor within your frontal sinus. Discuss findings with your doctor. If asymptomatic, this could be treated with nasal irrigations, and followed over time. Facial pain, headaches, inflammation, fever, purulent discharge, all could change this abruptly.
