Concern: While no advice can be given specifically about your daughter, it would be reasonable to be concerned. Sleep/appetite changes often reflect simood changes, especially if more than 1-2 weeks. Such mood changes can reflect responses to traumatic events, changes or a blow to self-esteem, a developing mood disorder, or even medical conditions. If talking to a teen doesnt help try counseling.

Take her evaluation: It could be depression or anorexia, or some or conditon. See a psychologist or psychiatrist and get a pediatric consult too.
