Eating disorder?: Does she think she's overweight? She may have an eating disorder that requires working with a doc & therapist. With such little food intake, she is losing lean muscle mass as well as fat. Does she complain of stomach pain when she eats? She might have an ulcer or other condition that needs to be evaluated. Encourage her to see a doc asap.

For weight reduction can lead to a damaged metabolism, as-well-as immune problems, fatigue, protein malnutrition ..And on! the more serious disorder: anorexia nervosa may be the cause. Thinning of the heart muscle, electrolyte disturbances have occurred with subsequent death! a well-known singer, died from this. If habitual , get her help! in the interim-mtv's.
