Comfortable clothes: Some of what one should wear depends on the exercises one might do. Proper footwear, and comfortable clothes are a good start. In terms of preventing injury, dont overdo, start slowly and build increased time or weight over time. Proper body mechanics help and talking with your doctor or a physical therapist is wise in terms of any limitations. A certified trainer can also help.
