There are many ways to whiten the teeth: having them cleaned; using 'whitening strips purchased over the counter; having them professionally whitened in a dental office; having porcelain veneers or crowns placed, etc.

To some extent.: The bristles of toothbrush cannot access in between the teeth but the floss can. If colored food or drink won't linger and flossed right away, it won't adhere and cause damage to the proximal surfaces.

No: Flossing is to remove plaque between your teeth to help prevent gum disease. To whiten your teeth, one must have an active ingredient found in whitening products, that is applied to teeth for a period of time for teeth to become whiter. These can be otc products or professional products from your dentist.
