Peace the mind?: Many people find that a daily practice like mindfulness meditation can cultivate moment-to-moment awareness and presence in life. It does not always automatically "peace" the mind because sometimes what's present, is painful. However, ability to be with it increases. Oftentimes resisting what is present causes or at least adds to our distress. Breathing exercises, yoga, and tai chi are others.
