Unlikely: If it has been 15 years since your last attack it is very unlikely that you'll have another unless you develop a new problem. Stay active and fit, and live your life without fear of asthma.

Be cautious: If at 18 yrs, your asthma attacks persisted from childhood until 15 & subsided, you still have some potential for problems but may not need regular medication or treatment. However, it would be wise to keep a short acting rescue inhaler around in case symptoms return. You may be at higher risk of an event during any respiratory illness.

You still may: Asthma is an unpredictable disease. Although you have had no attacks for 3 years, you may develop symptoms at any time, particularly if you suffer a viral respiratory infection. Keeping an emergency inhaler is a good idea. You also should get a flu shot every year.
