Many possibilities: If the child has fever & this started around the genitals & armpits it could be the rash of strep. If home bound in a poorly humidified space it could be dry skin.If you are using a new bath soap or shampoo, this could be a minor reaction. You can probably just monitor the issue unless there is a fever, then i would have her seen soon.
