ADD & Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine): I never commit a patient to a lifelong treatment. We don't know what the future will bring. For the foreseeable future, staying consistent with a medication as rx'd by your md will afford you the best chance for optimal control of chronic symptoms, which is part of add. Every drug has side effects and risks. I recommend an in depth discussion with your md re: risk/benefits. Review drug insert.
