Depends: There are several different types of surgery that can be performed on the patellar tendon- arthroscopic, tendon repair, and tendon realignment to name a few. You will need to discuss specifically with your orthopaedic surgeon. Work with a physical therapist knowledgable about your case to help with your recovery.
