See below: Although it varies, most patients progress to weight bearing as tolerated in a brace over an approximate 2 week period and rehab with the goal of returning to full activity over approximately 12 weeks. Each case is different, I would discuss your specific case with your surgeon.

I had ACL reconstruction both knees- 2005 Left and 2009 right. Both are torn again 100%. Doctor suggests new surgeries by taking tendons from patella.

Had ACL revision surgery (patellar tendon) with a modified Lemaire tenodesis. At 7 weeks post there's still significant swelling, can't hyperextend the knee, have between 130-140 degrees of flexion, and have just begun light gym work. This normal?
