Probably not: Teeth takes many months to shift. It is unlikely that your teeth will shift to close the spot in just 6 months. The braces will speed this process up and realign your teeth properly.

Depends: It depends of you have a tooth size- arch discrepancy. Today teeth are extracted less often to create space . While its easy to extract for space sometimes this can create a sunken in face. Find a dentist. That will take into account not only straight teeth. But facial support and face esthetics as well.
