White stains: Your teeth look entirely how well you cared for them while wearing braces. They could look perfect or the way you described "are yellower and have white spots" , also called white scars or decalcification. Unfortunately, these white stains are usually permanent. Get a professional cleaning and wait at least a month before any whitening treatment. Use Fluoride treatment 2X per year.

Post Ortho issues: Start with a professional cleaning to remove all stains. Speak to your General Dentist about tooth whitening, remineralizing pastes, and tooth colored composite bonding. Any one or all of these may be required to restore your teeth to a healthy natural look.
