Stain or Decay: Brown spots on the teeth are either stains or decayed area. Stains can be polished away of whitened. Decayed area can be taken care of either by placing a tooth color filling, bonding or veneer depending on the extend of the decayed area.

Brown spots: Caused by not effectively cleaning area between braces and gum line/decalcification. Will not go away by themselves. See your Family Dentist for bleaching, fillings, veneers, or other cosmetic treatments.
