Probably not: Only reference i found for ocular use is to breaking up mucus. There are otc drops for dry eye, but if they don't work, see eye doc for thorough exam & treatment options.

Mucomyst (acetylcysteine): This medication is helpful in prevent recurrence of filaments in severe dry eye but does not treat dry eye itself. See your eye doctor for appropriate dry eye therapy.
