Panic & Medicine: Not necessarily, because zoloft (sertraline) is an antidpressant and may only control mild degrees of anxiety. Your psychiatrist might want to add another medicine to help control your panic attacks, such as clonazapam. Please arrange to have a consultation with him/her.

Discuss with MD: This is best discussed with your doc. If this medicine has helped, an option is increasing the dose. However, there are different treatment options & different types of meds available. Please schedule an appointment to review your symptoms & best alternatives for you. Take care.

Zoloft (sertraline): There is room for adjustments, whether boosting your zoloft (sertraline) or switching or supplementing it. These issues are best discussed with your prescribing doctor.

Might: Dosage range is 100-200/mg for most pts--current dose isn't controlling your symptoms--increasing dose sounds logical check with your doc.

It could: One has to optimize the dose of zoloft (sertraline) according to a person's response. Please talk with your doctor about still having panic attacks. A dose adjustment may help eliminate these . . . . But also, psychotherapy could help as well. These treatments augment each other. Good luck to you.
