If you were smart: You'd take your foot doctor to disney world with you! keloids are difficult to treat. Sometimes, a few steroid injections into the keloid can reduce the size and pain, but it takes time. Meanwhile, you'll probably enjoy disney better wearing a backless shoe.

Steroid Injections: If this is a true keloid scar, you can get improvement in the appearance of the scarring by flattening it out with serial steroid injections. I like to use kenalog (triamcinolone) 10 and have the patients come in at monthly intervals, usually about 3, for injections. Your scarring may be a hypertrophic scar instead of a keloid because it is in a location of motion. See your doctor for options.
