A member asked:

I recently had a cortisteroid injected directly into my keloid scars to flatten and soften them. will my weekly routine of steaming my skin open my pores and have a counter- effect at the site injection or does the injection go into my bloodstream?

Scarring occurs below the level of the superficial skin cells. The Steroid is injected into this lower level, and should not have any affect on pores. The steroid does not go into your bloodstream, and stays in the lower skin level working to reduce inflammation and break down scar tissue.
