Not generally : The highest risk for epilepsy is in children and the elderly, the 2 peaks in life where seizures occur more often. But epilepsy is more common than we think. The chances of epilepsy in a healthy woman in her 30's is low. Some seizures run in families, but those would likely have occurred by now.
