Unfortunately, no: Lennox-gastaut syndrome can cause intractable seizures and disrupt cognitive development. It is a very difficult seizure disorder to treat. Medication, ketogenic diet, vagal nerve stimulator, and surgical procedures to attenuate the seizures are treatments available. I'm sure you already have a pediatric neurologist taking care of your son. You need to discuss particulars with that doctor.
