A member asked:

I'm a healthy 33 year old woman i've become so afraid if getting epilepsy please help me?

Why worry?: Epilepsy is very common. Most cases are easy to manage. If you keep healthy, the risk is small. If you get brain infection, brain tumor, brain trauma, the risk is high, but most cases respond well to treatment. The vast majority of epileptic patients lead normal lives. The complex epilepsy patients i manage are wonderful and productive persons. Fear of epilepsy is inappropriate.
