A member asked:

My 20 year old son was treated for a gall bladder infection. why would a young person get this? he has epilepsy and me/cfs.

Consider MRCP: Would be unusual for 20 year old to get Cholecystitis but not impossible. Gall Bladder disease can occur in all age groups. Cause is not always clear. Could be that there is an abnormality of the biliary ducts. MRCP would answer this question. Need a gastroenterologist if symptoms persist or recur.
