Eat balanced diet: If your thyroid is overactive, you need to get this treated. In the meantime, your body is hypermetabolic, and you will need to eat more calories to maintain your weight. There are no veggies that you need to avoid. A very large dose of iodine (eg. Radiographic contrast, some otc cold remedies) can sometimes worsen the hyperthyroidism but the iodine in a normal diet will not.

Veggies: The main vegetables that may affect thyroid are high in iodine - suggested not to consume over 6 grams daily. Also cruciferous veggie can lower thyroid production. These are broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and cabbage. They contain sulfurophane. You would have to eat large amounts, however to make a difference.
