I was at an ent for another issue and he said my adenoids are pretty swollen. i'm 20 years old. is this normal? i never went back to follow up.

It can be: Usually adenoid tissue recedes in the teenage years. However, there are some adults who may have enlarged adenoid tissue. Sometimes it may be associated with an allergy history. I would probably be more inclined to remove the adenoids and biopsy them to make sure they are normal tissue.
