Too often: Treatment is aimed at symptoms rather than the disease. Neuropathy can be the result of many things, and because it's such a frustrating symptom to both patients and doctor, a host of treatments emerge, some of which are pure snake oil. The successful treatment of neuropathy must start with addressing the underlying cause.
