Can depends on cause: Neuropathy can be caused by a large number of underlying disease processes. Some causes may be transient, however most are not and cause symptoms long term. However, often with improvement of the underlying disease process such as diabetes or thyroid disease you can have improvement of the discomfort from neuropathy. Neuropathy has many great treatments for its painful component. Talk to your doc!

Depends: It depends on what the cause of neuropathy is. In majority of cases you can improve symptoms by treating the underlying cause and taking appropriate meds.

Sometimes: Some neuropathies are curable (vitamin B12 deficiency), some may improve slightly (diabetic neuropathy), and some are not treatable. The best thing to do is to find out the cause and ask about any potential treatment.
