Well check: A physical or wellness check=up is an overall assessment of your well-being. Your doctor will ask you questions about your health, any symptoms you're having, and lifestyle factors such as smoking, drug use, sexual habits/safe sex, diet, exercise, etc. Your doctor will then do a head-to-toe physical exam, checking the major organ systems, and then make appropriate recommendations.

Depends on who you..: see. I do a 4-6 hour wellness consultation on new patients. They complete a very detailed questionnaire before they come for the appointment. Detailed labs are also drawn before the appt. At the consultation, we do performance and exercise testing, a physical exam, go over the questionnaire, determine the patient's biological age (vs. chronologic age). Then, I give recommendations.
