Yes: There is a lot of research to show that meditation helps promote good mental health. If done correctly it can calm the mind down and help with focus. It involves focusing the mind on a specific thing (eg a prayer or an image or a yoga pose). That focus helps clear the mind of negative thoughts.

Meditation : Meditation can do wonders for relaxation, stress relief, calming the mind, and sleep hygiene, just to name a few. It has many uses and can be very effective if practiced regularly.
