Can meditation improve memory and mental clarity permanently?

Possibly: Studies are finding evidence that daily meditation not only improves memory and mental clarity, but it also may thicken parts of the brain's cerebral cortex responsible for decision making, attention and memory. For example, in one study subjects who meditated 40 minutes a day showed this structural difference in the brain. And, the difference was most pronounced in older subjects.

Possibly: Studies have shown that meditation can have positive effects on your autonomic nervous system, your immune system and your hormonal systems, thus rebalancing your overall metabolism. Proper abdominal breathing techniques are paramount in achieving the relaxation response. You do not need to be a master. Find someone who can teach you this and then practice it consistently.
