Distress: Most people go to the doctor when they're hurting in some way. Emotional pain is real, and it can be manifested in ways that interfere with a person's overall functioning. A person may suffer from inner turmoil causing distress and uneasiness. Often, a person's sleep patterns and appetite will change. It's good (and not a sign of weakness), to try and get some help sooner, rather than later.
