Primary or secondary: Primary nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting) is present from birth ; not due any psychiatric disorder although might secondarily cause anxiety, depression or stress. Secondary bedwetting is more often due to urinary infection, anatomic or neurologic problems. Anxiety or stress can occasionally cause minor degrees of bedwetting. If so is best to consult a psychiatrist.
