Yes, could still be: Hi. Prediabetes can be determined 3 ways: fasting serum glucose, serum glucose 2 hours after a 75 gram glucose challenge, and A1c. It is possible to have normal fasting glucose, yet meet diagnostic criteria for prediabetes by either of the other two means. Eat healthily and exercise regularly. Good luck!
