Stop the rice: Carbohydrate rich foods always make you groggy after eating them. I suggest trying a breakfast with more protein and less carbs. If you want something quick you can eat a protein bar like the Ultrameal Bar by Metagenix the Quest bar. These give you high protein and fiber but low carbs. If you really want to eat rice for breakfast, try a smaller portion with some egg, meat or nuts to add protein.
