Diabetic diet: Fatty liver disease is an issue with Insulin resistance; the best treatment is weight loss and, if her doctor recommends, an Insulin sensitizer like metformin. Diet would be close to a diabetic diet, with reasonably low carbohydrate intake. Fish is a good choice.
