Google up "BMI": Bmi stands for body-mass index. It's based solely on height and weight. You enter your height and weight, and you will get a bmi number. A bmi of 30 or over is "obese, " and a bmi under 18 is underweight. This will give you a start. Good luck. Lgromko md.

Use BMI to check: Use a BMI calculator to know. SEE: https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm. BMI Categories: Underweight = <18.5 * Normal weight = 18.5–24.9 * Overweight = 25–29.9 * Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater. By checking your BMI you can get an idea of whether you are in a healthy range.
