No difference: The amount of heating does not change the amount of protein content in the meal. Protein does become more "denatured" during cooking, but its amount doesn't change.

Expensive: You would be better off eating a well balanced diet rather than relying on expensive supplements. You can get all the protein you need from even vegetarian diet rich in beans, legumes, nuts and milk. Meat is a good source of protein.

High total protein?: The question is somewhat unclear. The upper limit of normal for total protein on a blood test is around 8.4 g/dl in an adult. High results may occur with disorders such as bone marrow disease, dehydration, monoclonal gammopathy, multiple myeloma, etc... Just eating a high protein diet will not cause high total protein in the blood test.

Proetein helps: Protein and glucagon are needed by muscles to grow. However, there are much healthier sources of protein than whey powder such as egg whites, nuts, beans, lentils and wild fish like salmon and sardines. Stick to the foods and avoid the whey from a factory. Some doctors think whey may contribute to cancer and auto-immune diseases like multiple sclerosis.
