6 month old on zantac (ranitidine) since 2 days, started hiccuping a lot again 3 x a day takes about 1 hr to go away, does zantac (ranitidine) cause increase in hiccups?

Usually no.: Maybe the ge reflux is coming back. Zantac (ranitidine) is dosed based on weight. As the baby gets bigger, the dose may have to be increased.

HICUPPS: Zantac (ranitidine) even helps in hicupps. It is given for gerd.Baby might have other GI problem causing diaphagmatic irritation.
