Yes.: Congratulations on the birth of your child. Preemies have lots more risks in life, and his bleed may result in problems when he is older. But right now all we have are statistics. He could do just fine. Please talk to the neonatologists involved with your baby. They are always glad to spend time educating the parents of their little charges. You may see a neurologist and a physiatrist, too.

Yes: Over the past 3 decades I have seen this have a variable outcome.I have seen these babies recover with minimal if any problems and go on to be healthy,productive young adults.I have also had some with significant movement or developmental problems.The variation is quite large. Early childhood programs with PT,OT and regular developmental surveillance helps improve outcome.Good luck.
