A member asked:

I had an ct anigogram of my leg to diagnose varicose vein /hemangioma, so is there a risk that my testicle may have been affected by radiation?

No: There is insufficient scatter radiation from the ct to affect the testicular function.

Minimal: Minimal risk of radiation exposure with a single scan.

Limited Radiation: With just one ct angiogram; radiation exposure to the testicle is minimal. Sperm that are produced in the testicle, mature in the spermatic cord. These sperm may have sustained some damage...Best to wait a minimum of 64 days before trying to get your partner pregnant. New sperm produced should have a lower rate of possible damage. Again, very limited radiation from a single cta.
