Time to see doc...: Having productive cough for 2 months is not normal. Smokers may have chronic cough and can have some sputum, especially early in am. If this is something new for you, definitely should have it checked out. If a smoker, you may have COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and treatment is likely needed. Don't wait until things get too severe as treatment become less effective. Good luck.
