Take her to her doc: Asthmatics seem to get hit worse with episodes of bronchitis. So if she has a productive cough, she may be experiencing asthmatic bronchitis - or even a sinus infection. You can safely encourage her to drink plenty of fluids, or ask the pharmacist for an over-the-counter medicine to liquify secretions (expectorant). But she really needs to be seen if she's not improving. Good luck. Lgromko.

A Doctor Stat!: If your asthmatic friend has a case of bronchitis or pneumonia she needs to be evaluated by a physician to determine the cause of her symptoms and start whatever treatment is required. This will most likely not be anything that you can give her or do for her! have her seen immediately.
