What is the definition or description of: small bowel biopsy?

"look at tissue": This usually refers to biopsies obtained during endoscopy. The biopsies sample the mucosa or lining of the gastrointestinal tract. The pathologist then looks at the biopsies through the microscope and makes a diagnosis.
