Having biopsies of small bowel and colon. what are the risks?

Basically none: The gut is almost never perforated. The risk of neglecting disease that can only be diagnosed by biopsy is essentially your life. Relax and trust your physician and the pathology team.

Ask your doc: You should always be fully informe dbefore procedures. Bleeding., bowl perforation and infectio are some possibilities.
